Casey.Tom: an intimate wedding story

here we go again with me staring at the blank screen thinking...what to type, what to type...don't panic... what to type? and then i get anxiety and realize all i want to do is share the awesome photos with you all. so here is the brief breakdown before i go into full on panic attack:

a) if you haven't heard of it already please check out the hollyhock house in kewaunee for an amazing intimate indoor ceremony or gorgeous flower-filled outdoor ceremony. the house is perfect for the vintage, romantic bride: original wallpaper, dark wood, antique furnishings. it was a challenge for me at first being a jeans and sneakers kinda gal and the farthest thing from vintage, but once i got behind the camera it was surprisingly easy to let go and embrace what was right in front me. it made for a beautiful backdrop.

b) in fact. if anyone out there wants to do a shoot in kewaunee in general just give me a serious holler. engagement, anniversary, rock the dress, you name it i will be there. i am desperately in photo-love with the area and need to get back there soon.
c) casey and tom you rock! just another couple that makes me smile and are the reason i heart my job so much. i spent ninety percent of my post production time smiling at the photos (i do this alot). i realized the constant grin was getting a little ridiculous when i found myself doing sporadic cheek stretches throughout the day.
d) shot this on my bday. a birthday more than well spent. plus an added bonus is that i will always remember the anniversary. so sorry casey and tom but next year (my dreaded 30...tear) you might be receiving late night happy anniversary phone calls after a shot or two of tequila. ha.

my absolute made-me-jump-up-n-down favorite. in fact i am still doing it in my head right now.
and lastly: proof of why my cheeks hurt
are you not smiling? are you?

as always you will be able to check out more images from tom and casey's wedding here.

chat soon,
